What Is Roots?
Roots is an interregional league of grassroots events for the East Coast. Players travel to nearby regions to qualify for the Tournament of Champions.
But more importantly, Roots is a platform for grassroots organizing at scale by sharing skillsets, knowledge, labor, promotion, relationships, and more, creating a standardized pipeline for resources to the regional level.
The League
Over a 6-month competitive season, Roots will support flagship events across the major eastern regions with media, promotion, travel reimbursements, outreach, and networks.
Roots is partnered with world-class T.O.s across the East Coast, who have run events such as Shine, Get On My Level (GOML), Collision, Super Smash Con (SSC), Tipped Off, and CEO.
